And included in the Legal 500 ‘Hall of Fame’, which recognises lawyers at the very top of the profession, widely known and respected by peers and clients for their longstanding involvement in market-leading work. As Head of International Law at a leading Central London law firm I founded and led the sanctions department to be ranked Band One for sanctions in Chambers Legal Directory. Before I founded this department in 2001 the firm had no practice in this area. I developed the department from a standing start. It is now one of the top 4 ranked sanctions department in the UK. In the course of this work, I radically changed UN practice and procedure to the benefit of listed persons internationally.
